Gotta be short and sweet tonight…it’s almost 10:30 and I still need to look through a 12-page proposal for a new site design. Yes - you heard me right…The Anomalous Life is going to be professionally designed! I made a promise to myself early on: if this effort was fun and fulfilling (it’s been that and more) and readership showed steady growth (keeps on climbing - you guys rock), I would treat us all to a visually appealing place to hang our hats everyday. Consider it a cyber toast (clink, clink) in your honor…you deserve it!
As it stands, the new design (which will be created by the wonderful Noelle at Moxie Design Studios - www.moxiedesignstudios.com) should be up and running around the end of May. Moxie has a diverse portfolio, but they specialize in the fun and stylish and kitchy…exactly what I’m looking for. Joelle will take her design inspiration from an illustration I found at Getty Images, and I CAN’T WAIT to see what she does with it.
(I’m having trouble pasting the actual image here, but you should be able to follow this link and check it out on Getty’s site: http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.aspx?contractUrl=1&language=en-US&family=creative&p=dexil001%20004&src=standard#)
Pretty cool, huh??!!?! Stylish, hip and funky. It’s so who I want to be me…well, except for the occasional blemish or bad hair day or quirky traits or really unfashionable bedtime attire or…
Seriously, though, this blog is not only a creative outlet for me, it’s a way to keep in touch with you guys and to hopefully help us all (that includes me) find humor in the sometimes stressful, painful or embarrassing realities of life. I hope you’re enjoying the daily diversion - that one tiny, little moment to yourself - and that you continue to do so for a long time to come.
I’ll keep you updated as the design progresses. And I’m still waiting for more of your “guilty” comments to yesterday’s post. Please tell me I’m not the only unevolved being…
They Just Said...
Apparently you are. Any interest in my talking mule?
